dc.description.abstract | La rinosporidiosis es una micossis causada por el Rhinospirium seeber que afecta al hombre y a algunos animales. La infeccion esta generalment localizada, y se caracteriza por la formacion de tumoraciones del tipo pólipos, papilomas o lesiones verrugosas, las cuales son hiperplasicas y muy vascularizadas. Las lesiones son friables y pueden ser sesiles o pediculadas. Se presentan dos casos de jovens adolescentes, residentes en una misma área geográfica de Mozambique, que presentaban tumoraciones papilomamatosas en las fosas nasales. El diagnostico de rinosporidiosis nasla fue realizado mediante el estúdio histopatologico. | en_US |

dc.description.resumo | Rhinosporidiosis is a mycosis caused by Rhinospirium seeber that affects man and some animals. The infection is generally localized, and is characterized by the formation of tumors such as polyps, papillomas or warty lesions, which are hyperplastic and highly vascular. Lesions are friable and can be sessile or pedunculated. Two cases of young adolescents, residing in the same geographical area of Mozambique, who presented papillomamatous tumors in the nostrils are presented. The diagnosis of rhinosporidiosis nasla was made by histopathological study. | en_US |
